Hi Lubomir, that's a hell of a series of questions.

Firstly the quest of producing high-quality Yamabuki is equally as difficult as trying to produce high-quality Go-Sanke - perhaps even more so?

High-quality Yamabuki cannot command high prices until they are perfect in EVERY aspect and also around the 100cms size.

High quality Go-Sanke command high prices at nisai and sansai.

Seniichi Mano (Izumiya) produces boatloads of Yamabuki fry every spring - first selection is impossible to do until the fry are over 30 days old but after all the culling, the sales of tosai, nisai, males, females, sansai etc. etc. when the few tategoi he produces are eleven years old and around 100cms - he's lucky if he has 25 Koi left.

And out of the 25 Koi, there's a 'best' and the 'worst' - the other 23 also slot into their places.

The chances of buying Yamabuki from SFF & Izumiya and hoping they will be good Oyagoi is slim - very slim.

Good Yamabuki female tategoi can overnight produce orange spot after they are sansai and this makes them worthless.

I'm not qualified in advising you the ones to select, but if I were selecting myself the one at the bottom left of the photo would be the pale yellow colour for me. If you look at the nose colour on the same Koi, this is also something I would look for and I have no problem with the white head area at 15cms.

Same Koi again, the shape is much better than the others and I've no idea where the Doitsu Koi came from?

Did you also produce Purachina from the same spawning?

Your Koi are certainly not crap, and as to 'quality' and 'numbers' you are prepared to keep, it all depends on selection and available water space.

The more you keep, the more the overheads rise and so must your sales price.

Honestly, I am not a yamabuki specialist. But in my humble opinion they look OK.

I would say that there does seem to be a lot of difference in size in the koi in the round bowl...are these all in the same growing pond together? The ones which you pick also seem nice at a glance, but maybe lacking a little hikari, if I am honest. They look good for a first try though...

Overall, you seem to have been successful in breeding lots of yellow koi, well done...

Maybe you will be over taking Jos soon....???? Is that your plan?
